One of the hardest part of my job as a webmaster is to make decisions as to what images should be published on our web. Usually I have a choice
of about one hundred
great images of each model from which only five to ten will end up being displayed on the free tour or in other areas of the GGB web. I have no problem with our
membership web site Vanartstudios.com where the content of members’ images is being kept. In there we have twenty four images placed on a standard display page for
each model. In addition we have what I called “Overflow files” where I have ten folders to place any access images that are considered great. Since images in these
folders are linked in a kaleidoscope style in full screen format, I can link pages endlessly and as many as I want. Folders are separated to provide some sort of an
order of similar poses. If I have to choose one out of say five good images for GGB web site display, the remaining four end up in the “overflow files”. For example
we made close to two thousand images of Scottie and I liked over four hundred of them. Although twenty four best images were placed on model’s main page in the members’
area I have placed remaining four hundred images in the overflow files folders. Member can spent hours viewing Scottie if desired. This however is not true in
girls-gone-bare.com web site where I have only few spots where the most representative images of each model can be placed. Note that only few of Scottie images are
shown on GGB site.
There is also another problem that I
have to deal with. Our members should benefit from their
membership and therefore what we offer inside the membership
site should be better then what general public can see. It is
almost a ridiculous situation where I am not allowed to display
our best images while advertising. Well not really, because the
success of our web does not truly depend on how many nude images
we display but rely on our artistic approach to the photography.
My goal in selecting the images for GGB site is to inform the
viewer of two facts. First - yes, we have plenty close-up images
of each model from any angle, distance and in any pose that a
viewer may desires to see. Second - more importantly we at
Van-Art have our unique artistic approach to nudity that is
totally different from our partners. This unique artistic
approach at Van-Art can not be found in any other place. Coming
back to the subject of this article, there is a pain involved in
decision making as to what images one selects for publishing on
the web.
Let me demonstrate this dilemma in an example where you can
participate. When you select “Continue” link below on the bottom
of this page I will rout you through 11 images that are close in
appearance. You (as I had to) have to decide which one of the
eleven images you would choose as the best one to publish and
present to the viewer. Just click on the image or ”next” button
link to move forward.
