Why is it so hard to find meaningful and sexy images on the internet these days?
Is it because we have seen so many of nude photographs that we become numb to this idea? Maybe so and perhaps there is a lot of truce in this observation.
I remember going through the development stages of this web while being amazed with the great images that our partners were providing to us for
promotional purposes. Few months later these initial images began to appear less and less vivid to me.
I began to replace them with better images that were becoming available from the same sources.
With time even these better images become not so cool and the process of upgrade continued.
Today, on an average we publish one out of 150 images that are provided to us and still we need more and better material to work from.
OK let’s be reasonable – the images are great and of top quality and we all are simple becoming more selective.
There are few very productive and aggressive webs that generate tremendous amount of great images. These are MET-ART, FEMJOY, Hegre-Art, MPL Studios,
Domai, Ron Harris, Morey and others. I enjoy monitoring this intense and fierce dash where any new step forward made by one is quickly followed and often exceeded by others. Great amount of effort is undertaken including revamping of the entire web appearances aimed to stay in the competition. The changes are positive and result in visible upgrades
As you have noticed we have created
Van-Art Top 100
where we took a bold stand to be the judge of who is who. In that we want to make it clear
that the listing and the order on Top 100 is the result of our personal opinion – whatever it is worse. But we try to be objective and at the same time because we have
sifted through thousands of images, we have the right to have an opinion and an educated one. Although it appears that out of the five, MET-ART seems to generate largest
quantity of superb images I still have difficulty to define the order of best webs that are out there competing for supremacy. The best call that I could make is to award
all of them the same medal. It is not clear what medal should be awarded because it is not clear to me what we are all exactly looking for - today. I say “today”
because for example in the past I was searching for as many nude models as I could find. Once I have achieved that goal my needs have shifted to search for the artistic
nudity. In that I have resigned from looking for vivid spread eagles and started to enjoy the harmony of the models in the surroundings. With time I have accepted the
fact that one does not have to see everything to be artistically fulfilled by the image. As a matter of fact I have concluded that the trick of a great image lies in the
art of concealing the bottom line yet embedding elements of curiosity to the maximum level possible. At the end obviously we want to see the spread eagle for the mere
fact that we are male kind and we deserve to fulfill our curiosity. But every time when I reach that point it becomes yet another reassurance that the core of an artistic
experience was placed in these non vivid images that were leaving some elements to my imagination
There is more to the story. Each of the webs has its own taste and flavor. The longer you examine the images the more
clearly you may see the difference in each approach. After a while, one cannot possible view MPL Studios image and mistaken it for Hegre or FEMJOY image.
With time one can develop the skill where without knowledge of the origin of the image he can assign it correctly to the real source just by examining the
style of the image. This is especially clear once viewing Morey images. If you look at Morey image and do not realize that it is Morei image then you
are not paying attention at all. MET-ART produces many of first class images but as others it has its own unique style. If you like that style then you
must have found your match. Each of our partners is capable and produces the winning images that alter to surpass each other. That is where it gets
confusing as to naming who is the best. One week I view the superb image from MET-ART just to see next week equally great image from FEMJOY, or MPL
Studios. To throw me out of balance Hegre suddenly provides the winning image the following week.
We (at Van-Art) are fortunate to be able to compile these great images under one web. As we promote our partners while increasing our own
portfolio we also have a goal of assembling the set of the greatest images in existence under one roof – Girls-Gone-Bare.com. Our work is not done yet. As some images
will be replaced, some will stay as they are the masterpieces of photography. In culmination we aim to display only images that measure to “Pure Art” level of quality.
It may take years to achieve that goal but it is worse to wait and work hard.
So the real answer to the question “who is the best” does not really exist. Each of our partners is the best. Kind of like the question “what mountain range is the
best” OK Himalayans are the biggest but I bet there are many of you out there who would prefer Rockies. For me since I am from Europe, there are no prettier mountains
then Alps. Could we place all of the greatest mountain ranges in one location? I guess we could but we would have to give them a new name.
